The following if from the Colorado General Assembly website where witnesses testified before the SENATE COMMITTEE ON STATE, VETERANS & MILITARY AFFAIRS.  Representatives from the Colorado Rifle Club, Firearms Colalition of Colorado, and the Colorado Shooting Sports Association testified AGAINST SB 49, the 'safe storage' bill.  In contrast, Don McAlady, Golden, representing the American Hunters and Shooters Association, said that his organization supports the bill.

ASHA joins the following spokespersons of these organizations University of Denver, Public Health Directors of Colorado, Colorado Children's Campaign, Colorado Cease Fire, Parent Teachers Association of Colorado,and the League of Women Voters who testified FOR SB49.
